It was just a week ago when former Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh called Obama's Justice pick Judge Sonia Sotomayor a racist. Now Newt is withdrawing the comment, as he should.
Look, I understand his position, but, besides it being incorrect, going to the extreme of calling her a racist is just... well, extreme. Let's have a dialogue about the dialogue, not turn it into something it's not.
Beside, siding with Rush on racism, is like siding with Charles Manson on sanity: you kind of wonder if he's really this extreme or it's just the drugs.
(On a side note, Newt was recently on the Daily Show promoting his book. I don't always agree with the guy, but I appreciate what he brings to the dialogue. I would imagine he has some good things to say in this book.)
