The republican party has to change

i disagree

It wasn't long ago I was echoing the sentiments of others who said that the Republican party has drifted. However, it has come to the point of severity. The talking heads simply disagree with anything from the left and agree with anything from the right, making their position very dangerous.

Julian E. Zelizer's article highlights this situation. The fact of the matter is that the country has a president who embraces other opinions. Although Rush wants him to fail, it is for the good of the country for him to succeed. The real question is, can Republicans question the right and embrace the left when it aligns with their core values, or will they be like O'Reilly and ditch those values when it suits them, just so they can tow the party line.

Let's hope for the sake of the party it's the former.

Fox news - time to join reality.

This isn't the first time Fox News went haywire, but with more than one person questioning whether Barak Obama is really the president, and most of the day spent showing how we are going to die, you really have to wonder if Fox has gone off the deep end and who is really watching this for news.

Rush adds some more talking head craziness mixed with some overt (although not to him) racism and yet people still watch. If the right wants to figure out why they've lost their way, perhaps they should stop living in a fairly land, hoping that the president really isn't the president and stop listening to vaguely racist and otherwise delusional talking heads.

Brilliance through comedy

The Bush administration just didn't get it. It's amazing how easy it is to get. I enjoyed this bit from the Daily Show, but in the middle, you hear exactly what opponents of that administration thought and exactly why what the administration did was dead wrong. If only the talking heads could get it.

Coulter claims fox news bias?

Did Ann Coulter admit that Fox News has a left-leaning bias? It sounds like it. It's probably the only time I actually wanted to hear her say something.

Nothing obscene

Obama signing

I have nothing obscene to write about and Obama's not helping. He's made mistakes, but doing things like closing Guantanamo isn't very obscene. I guess we can talk about the bailout. Yeah, that works.

This is whacked

lindsay lohan

It's not every day another group asks for a bailout. Oh, wait. It is. This time, it's porn. I guess it's been a hard road. I guess they think if everyone else is on the band wagon, why should they get off?

We're going to need a bigger hole

obama and money

Ever since the government started dumping money in a hole it seems we have always tried to dump more. Now it seems Obama wants to bring the deficit to 2 to 3 times as much as it has ever been! Bah, what's $1.2 trillion amongst taxpayers. After all, we need more to give away to companies, otherwise who knows what horrible things would befall them?

Time heals all wounds or...

...at least it's not this guy:

George W Bush

It seems almost twice as many people approve of Presidents Bush Sr. and Carter compared to when they left office. After the Iraq War, no Osama, a botched relief effort, lack of leadership during the Enron meltdown and a calamitous economic collapse, Guantanamo bay, wiretapping, and more, it seems the older guys don't look so bad.

Ann Coulter - conspiracy trumps facts

ann coulter

Ah, Ann Coulter: facts don't come easy.

The Today Show cancelled an upcoming gig and Ann turned to conspiracy:

I guess this ends the 'they just want to get ratings' argument about liberal media bias

Bah! Who needs FACTS we we can ASSUME this is the way it is when we work with our feelings and not our brains. There is no way for her to know this is true, but that won't matter to those that blindly follow this fallow cult. It's so nice when hate doesn't need evidence.
